Overlooking Victoria harbour and situated on the penthouse floor, the duplex has sweeping views from all the rooms. Permeated with ample natural light, the sensation of air and lightness are created by a subtle palette of textural white, washed oak in contrast with the charcoal colour wood plank wall.
Designed for a couple with 2 young children, the long open plan is clearly divided into 3 functions. The formal living room and the elevated TV room is separated with a suspended function wall, the dining room is defined by a square wooden oak table and a sculptural wood light.
The steps of the staircase spans from the central charcoal rectangular block, which leads to the bedrooms and playroom at upper floor. Both bedrooms are designed and oriented with the breathtaking view in mind. The abstract white castle in the playroom adds an element of fun and function to the serene ambience. The layering of contrasting forms, natural and synthetic materials imbues the upper floor with subtle vitality.
